Graduation Requirements
A total of 26 credits are needed for graduation at Beloit Memorial High School with the following requirements: (A credit is a passing grade earned in a class that meets every other day for the entire school year.)
English - 4 credits
Mathematics - 3 credits
Science - 3 credits
Social Studies - 3 credits
Physical Ed - 1.5 credits
Personal Finance - .5 credits
Health - .5 credits
Electives - 10.5 credits
Students will be identified during the graduation ceremony as:
- "Graduate": 26 minimum required credits earned and a passing grade on the civics exam
- "Graduate with Honors": In addition to 26 minimum required credits earned and a passing grade on the civics exam, a minimum GPA of 3.0 and 2 Advanced Placement or 2 Dual Credit Courses, and completion of Portrait of a Graduate Portfolio*
- "Graduate with Honors Distinction": In addition to 26 minimum required credits earned and a passing grade on the civics exam, a minimum GPA of 3.5 and 2 Advanced Placement or 2 Dual Credit Courses or A Pathway Completer (3 sequenced courses in a pathway), and completion of a Graduate Portfolio*
*Portfolio required beginning class of 2028.
